Story Hours    

The Ellsworth Public Library offers a weekly Story Hour for children 3 to 5 years olds  on Monday mornings from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. There are two session per year, each running 10 weeks. One begins in January and another begins in September. This program is sponsored in part by the Pierce County Library Service. Please call 715-273-3209 for more information and to register.

Picture of a baby reading a book.A Lap Sit Story Hour for children 18 months to 3 years and a parent or caregiver is held on Wednesday mornings from 10:30-11:00 for 2 ten week sessions each year. Call 715-273-3209 for more information or to register.

Pajama Story Time for 2 to 7 year olds, at 7-7:30 p.m. the third Tuesday of every month. Join us for bedtime stories, milk and cookies--you can even wear your pajamas and bring your teddy bear! No registration is required for this story time.

Book Discussion Groups

An Agreed Read Book Club is an adult book club held the second Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. New members welcome. We will discuss a mixture of contemporary and classic titles that the participants will choose.  Come and join us for fun, food and friends!

The Afternoon Book Club is an adult book club held the second Thursday of the month from 2:00- 3:30 p.m. in the Senior Center (Downstairs in the library). This club is especially for those who do not want to go out at night. New members are welcome. We discuss primarily classic titles. SEE YOU IN THE FALL!!!:

Outreach

The library sponsors a year-round outreach program, taking books, audio tapes, videos and special requests to the Ellsworth Care Center and the three apartment complexes for the elderly in Ellsworth.

Art Shows

The Ellsworth Senior High sponsors art work by high school students three times a year, and the entire school district has a spring art show. These shows include a wide variety of art media.
